Darren
Udaiyan was born in India. His upbringing was in a form of Dravidian
Hinduism called Aayyanism, which he is now opposed to both in life and
art. As well as painting and creating comic strips, he also makes short
films designed to be posted on the web. He founded the Cambridge Stuckists
group in 2003, and was exhibited at the Stuckism
International Gallery in Shoreditch. He participated in the War
On Blair show at the gallery in April 2003. He was in An
Antidote to the Ghastly Turner Prize (2008), Stuck in Wood Green
(2009), and The Stuckists
Christmas Sale (2009). He curated The
Enemies of Art (2010) in Cambridge, and was featured in the London
show of the same name in 2011, which used his title again. His painting
Nx2 was featured on the home page of this site.
